Jami Maine 
Born and raised in St.Louis, Jami began her cosmetology career at La Plante Beauty School right after high school. Jami always knew the college path wasn’t for her. From a young age, Jami dreamed about creating a career that allowed her to connect with others on a deeper level. Her great Uncle Monroe was a barber and the inspiration behind Jami’s successful career.
When Jami received her license, she never wanted to stop learning. Jami has invested in classes all over the nation & has learned from some of the best. Her advanced training spans prestigious brands including Aveda, Vidal Sassoon, and L'Oréal, among others. She is a certified Vidal Sassoon Academy graduate and certified in Loreal professional balayage. From runway fashion shows in New York City to her favorite Pujols prom hair day - Jami has done it all.
One of Jami’s core values is educating clients on maintaining the integrity of their hair. She works wonders with lived-in blondes and has helped many clients change the health of their hair.
Most importantly, Jami is most fulfilled by providing a salon home for her employees and maintaining the incredible culture at Julius Monroe.

Jami Maine, the founder and owner of Julius Monroe Salon & Spa, believes family is what binds us, inspires us, and adds meaning and purpose to our lives.
When it came to choosing a name for the salon, she decided to go back through her own family history and found inspiration from her great-grandfather, Julius Siemers, and her great uncle, Monroe Colvin. Jami had a very special bond with her great uncle Monroe, who was a warm-hearted person that believed in helping others. He owned a barbershop and gave Jami the inspiration and confidence to follow in his footsteps and open her own salon.
Her great-grandfather, Julius, passed away before she was born. However, the stories Jami heard about him throughout her childhood have inspired her growing up. He was a role model and a man whose legacy was that of a humble, loving man who selflessly served God, his family, and the community.
Julius Monroe Salon & Cosmetic Spa is named in honor of Jami's family and family is what truly matters.
